This is for businesses that have either a new or existing member of their team who is doing, or recently completed, an apprenticeship.  Demonstrate what added value they have brought to your business and how they have grown their skills, ability and confidence.

 


Entrepreneur of the Year

Entrepreneurs demonstrate innovation, creativity and the ability to think and behave differently to the norm.  They turn their ideas into business opportunities.  If you are innovative and have turned your big ideas into a successful venture, this is the category for you.

 


Best Enterprising Business

Businesses in this category won’t be standing still and doing the same old things, they’ll be moving and shaking and leading in their markets.  If your business has undertaken new projects and has been successful this is the category for you.

 


Best in the Creative Sector Award

If your business operates in the creative sector, is more than 2 years old and has undertaken new projects and has been successful, this is the category for you.

 


The Extra Mile

For businesses demonstrating how they have gone the ‘extra mile’ in supporting their local community.

You will already be a successful business in your own right. The judges will need to see evidence of your success. More importantly you like to ‘give something back’. Whether you do it quietly or shout it from the hill tops, the judges will want to see what you do locally, how you do it and why. You cannot be shy in this category, tell it as it is. Team Development

How does your business demonstrate successful team learning?  If you think you have a winning team tell us what you have in place to support training, learning and that extra special ingredient that creates great team spirit.

 


Best Business in Wimbledon Town Centre

This award will go to the business that can show outstanding initiative, boldness and imagination in the enterprise, as well as sound management practices. Entrants to this award will also be expected to demonstrate sustainable growth combined with a degree of commercial success proportionate to the for the size of the business.

To apply for this award your business must be located within the Love Wimbledon Business Improvement District area, you do not have to be paying into the BID to be eligible to enter.

 


Employer of the Year

There are so many ways businesses and organisations can stand out in this category. It might be extra steps you have taken to support your staff’s welfare; it might be something to do with the recognition and rewarding of great talent, or having a superb new training and development package or investing in your office environment.  So, whichever yardstick is used, businesses that see their people as their top resources will simply have to enter this category.
