The 2021 Merton Best Business Awards will officially launch at Wimbledon Bookfest on 16th September, with a new set of categories to recognise and celebrate how businesses have survived, revived and thrived during the pandemic.
To mark such a challenging period, this year’s award categories have been adapted to reflect the difficult journey that Merton’s businesses have been on since March 2020.
An ‘In the Face of Adversity’ award will go to a business that can demonstrate how it has overcome barriers against the odds, and there will be new awards for Team Spirit and Leader of the Year, amongst others.
Members of the public will still have a chance to vote for their favourite pub, bar and eatery, as well as their Local Business Hero.
The Merton Best Business Awards will officially launch on 16th September as part of Wimbledon Bookfest on Wimbledon Common. The open-air venue will allow the business community to come together to reconnect and reflect on the past year.
